It
is during 15 years working for one
of the most prominent Parisian
Atelier in France
that Joseph Youss Kadri mastered
his craft. Following an ancient
tradition, he learned the art of
restoration of antiques and gold
gilding for years before being
given the title of Master Gilder. He worked
on the restoration of
prestigious buildings such as the
"Versailles Castle", the
"Dome des Invalides", the
"Louvre Museum" among others.
Since
his arrival in the United States, Master Kadri has worked on private and public
buildings. His portfolio includes indoor and outdoor projects from the West to
the East coast.
He is
Restorer/Gilder for the Carnegie Museum of Art of
Pittsburgh and has been commissioned by the Carnegie Museum of Natural History
of Pittsburgh. He is a founding member of the
Western Pennsylvania Crafts Guild
and is a member of the Society of Gilders in the
USA. |
